Privacy & Cookie Policy for DoshDrop
Last Updated: September 2026
At DoshDrop, we value your privacy. Account creation is entirely optional. You can fully use our price-comparison services as an anonymous visitor. This policy explains how we handle information for both casual visitors and users who willingly create an account.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information in two ways depending on how you interact with our platform:
- For Anonymous Visitors: If you browse DoshDrop without creating an account, we do not collect or store any personal identifying information (PII) such as your name, email, or phone number.
- For Account Holders (Willing Members): If you choose to register an account with DoshDrop to access extra features (such as price alerts or saved product lists), we securely collect and store the details you provide. This includes:
- Your email address.
- Your chosen username and encrypted password.
- Your user preferences (e.g., saved products or watched retailers).
2. Third-Party Tracking and Cookies
Regardless of whether you have an account, DoshDrop partners with affiliate networks (including Amazon Associates, eBay Partner Network, and Walmart Affiliate Program) and web analytics tools (such as Google Analytics).
When you click a price-comparison link, these third parties place tracking "cookies" on your web browser. These cookies trace your journey from DoshDrop to the retailer's website so the retailer knows you came from us, allowing us to earn a small commission. These cookies may collect automated data, such as your IP address and browser type, governed entirely by the privacy policies of the respective retailers.
3. How We Use Account Data
If you create an account, your data is used strictly to provide and maintain your account features. We never sell your personal information to third parties. We use your email address solely to send you system notifications, account updates, or price alerts that you explicitly request.
4. Your Data Rights & Deletion
We believe you should control your data. If you have created an account on DoshDrop, you have the right to request access to the information we hold about you or request that your account and all associated data be permanently deleted. You can do this at any time by navigating to your account settings or contacting us directly.
5. Cookie Control
You can easily block or delete cookies by adjusting your internet browser settings (e.g., Chrome, Safari, Firefox) or browsing in a private window. Disabling cookies will not stop you from using DoshDrop, though it may impact how affiliate tracking works.
Pricing Disclaimer: Product prices and availability are pulled from retailers via API and are accurate as of the date/time indicated, but are subject to change. DoshDrop does not sell products directly or process transactions. Any price and availability information displayed on the retailer's website (e.g., Amazon, Walmart, eBay) at the time of purchase will govern the sale.
Affiliate Disclosure: DoshDrop is a free price-comparison platform. When you click on the links or buy products through our site, we may earn a small commission from the retailer at no extra cost to you. As a retailer Associate, DoshDrop earns from qualifying purchases.
